Winter Week filled with festivities

Winter Week is scheduled to feature holiday festivities for students to participate in. The schoolwide event is planned for the week before winter break, beginning on Monday, Dec. 16 through Friday, Dec. 20.

Dress-up days are scheduled every day with different themes. In order from Monday to Friday, the themes are Pajama Day, Country Day, Groutfit Day, Throwback Day and Ugly Sweater Day.

This year’s dress-up days are scheduled to include a contest in which a student will win a prize for having the best outfit, said Jonathan Koo, Student Advisory Board vice president. The daily winners are planned to be chosen through a vote on the S.A. Board Instagram account.

The Winter Assembly is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 18 during block 4-5B. The assembly is scheduled to include holiday-themed performances from the band, orchestra and various choir programs.

Student Activities Coordinator Danielle Fluegge said she hopes the school’s environment will warm up and become a festive place to end the semester on.

Video-game stations and posters to sign for troops are scheduled to be placed in the hallways.

Long-time traditions such as the decorated fireplace in the SAC and the personalized snowflakes hung up on the Student Resource Center ceilings are expected to return.

Koo said, “Being able to look around the halls
