March 3

Applications for the Habitat for Humanity trip are due in the Student Activities Office. Twenty students are scheduled to be selected to participate in the trip scheduled from July 6 to July 12 in South Bend, Ind., where program members plan to build homes for families in need.

March 6

The Winter Sports Awards Assembly for winter athletes is scheduled to be held in the CPA from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. All-conference athletes, team successes and MVPs are scheduled to be announced, Athletic Director John Catalano said. After the announcements, teams are scheduled to separate to present team awards. Athletes are asked to dress in business casual clothing. All are welcome.

March 13

The Senior Art Show is scheduled to take place in the library from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., with senior artwork from all art classes on display and AP and honors art students serving as hosts.

March 15

The St. Paddy’s Day 5K/8K Run/Walk is scheduled in Lincoln Park at 9:30 a.m. The 5K costs $47 and the 8K costs $52. Afterwards, participants can enjoy music and refreshments. Register at (www.stpaddysdayrunchicago.com) before the registration closes on March 12 at 9:59 p.m.

March 18

The third annual International Dinner is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. The event is held to celebrate various cultures of students through food and performances and is open to the public. There is no cost, but all guests are asked to bring one dish representing their heritage.

“Finding the Fit…Financially Speaking” for  juniors is set to be held in the CPA from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Carolyn Lindley, Director of Financial Aid at Northwestern University, is scheduled to present a general introduction to financial aid, its philosophy and process, the types of financial aid and how colleges can treat it differently, College Coordinator David Boyle said.
