The varsity girls golf team celebrates winning its third consecutive IHSA state title at a
ceremony hosted before school on Oct. 15. The team won with a score of 604 strokes at
the IHSA state series tournament, which took place on Oct. 10 and 11 at Hickory Point
Golf Course in Decatur. Senior Martha Kuwahara also placed second individually with a
score of 141 strokes. The team is the first in school history to win three consecutive state
championships. The school recognized the team’s accomplishment with a parade led by
the band and color guard through the halls.
